My love of blue and white ginger jars runs deep. If you’ve been to my house, you know this is a slight understatement. ?
Blue is my favorite color and I find blue and white to be such a classic color combination that is versatile and could complement any home. I like to use chinoiserie jars and vases in our built ins but they also look great with flowers on a dining table or to hold kitchen utensils.
I will admit that my very favorite ginger jars have been sourced from local antique stores and Facebook Marketplace. There is something so interesting about the wear and tear on the antique pieces and I feel like they add a story to our home. If you are in the Richmond area, a few of my favorite places to shop for them are listed below.

Antique Stores
RVA Antiques – @rvaantiques
6102 Lakeside Ave
Henrico, VA 23228
I have purchased many of my favorites here & they have lots of other great decor that will probably catch your eye if you stop in. They post videos about once a week of new arrivals in the shop and you can call and pay for something over the phone if you think it will go quickly!
Revival Consignment – @revival_rva
9750 Gayton Rd
Richmond, VA 23238
Revival Consignment is a higher end consignment shop with gorgeous furniture. They are really fun to follow on Instagram too as they post new arrivals as they come in! They also have a gorgeous collection of art that I would like to slowly start adding to our collection, ….sorry Jake.
60 West Vintage – @sixtywestvintage
8004 Midlothian Turnpike
Richmond, VA 23235
This one is a bit farther from my house so I don’t get to pop in very often but I have still found some great pieces. They usually have a few specific booths where sellers have a whole collection of blue and white decor to choose from!

Facebook Marketplace

Facebook marketplace can be a great place to find ginger jars. If you are in the Richmond area, I can send you one of my favorite people to buy from! Phrases you can try searching for are “ginger jar,” “blue and white porcelain” “blue and white vase/bowl” or “chinoiserie.” Once you click on or save a few, Facebook Marketplace will have a better idea of what you are searching for and will begin to tailor the feed to your interests and searches.

Retail Stores
If you want to grow your collection a little quicker, retail stores are a great place to find ginger jars too! I like to mix the older ones with the new ones to add some depth to a display. A few of my favorite places to shop for new ginger jars and chinoiserie decor are below. I will also link some of the ginger jar styles I have purchased at the bottom.
- Williams Sonoma
- Wayfair
- Target -they have a few good options for blue and white garden stools too!
- Ballard Designs
- Home Goods
- One Kings Lane
