Enneagram 3, type A as they come... I live for a bold wallpaper, buy too much artwork, am married to a contractor, and have trouble wearing anything other than blue.
ONCE UPON A TIME
I have always struggled with comparison and not feeling like I measured up to the people around me. There was always someone with a bigger home, nicer decor, or better parenting skills that made me feel less than. Plenty of times I found myself not wanting to host friends because our kitchen wasn't updated or my baseboards were dusty. I told myself that once "that next thing was done," I would feel confident and would get back to living my life. But there was always a next thing that kept me in the cycle of not measuring up to my peers.
A few years ago I decided there would always be another project I wanted to complete or a nicer house I envied but that was no excuse to stop living my life. I decided to embrace the house we were in at the time and do what I could to love it and be proud of it, even if we were working with a small budget. We started with just painting, then wallpaper and decor, to adding built ins and renovating our kitchen and bathrooms. While I still see gorgeous "dream homes" that I am envious of, I have also created a space right here that I am proud of until we are ready to do it again.
When I got into real estate, I found so much joy in helping other people find a home that they could afford in their current stage of life and turn it into something they love and are proud of. I never imagined it would turn into the business I have today. I have embraced that any home can be beautiful and whether we are making a home shine to get the most money out of it in a sale or to make a new one feel like home, there is nothing quite like finding that potential and bringing it to life.
Enneagram 3, mom of 4... I love a bold wallpaper and I live for a good trip to the antique store.

NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT STUFF
I can't pass up a piece of antique blue & white pottery. My collection is, not so slowly, taking over our home.
I hide from my kids in the laundry room. They call it my "upstairs office."
Duvet covers are the bane of my existence. I love the look but HATE to put them back on.
I can drive with my gas tank on 'E' for days. I like to say I have a high tolerance for risk.

Need a contractor?
While I might have the wild design ideas, Jake is the execution. He is incredibly talented and is the reason I have been able to have so much fun renovating our home. If you are looking to dress up your space with custom trim, I would be happy to connect you. He also helps with those stubborn home inspection requests during the sales process!
