Lately I have become infatuated with coffee table books. Our kids love flipping through our family photo albums and now they enjoy these too. The books help dress up some of our built ins or finish off an end table. The best thing about most of the books is we have used them to add art to our walls too.
I have to admit I stole this idea from Sherry at Young House Love but it is so easy that I love swapping out art over time. I have included a few of my favorites below that not only look great on a coffee table but make beautiful art prints too! Just run an exact-o knife down the spine on the page you want to remove and voila an inexpensive art print!
Color of Teil | Amazon
Teil Duncan is one of my favorite artists. I love how her work reflects the colors and life of Charleston, SC. I am saving up for an original painting to add to our walls but since those come with a $4,500+ price tag, her art print will have to do for now. The book has many stunning 8x10s and 5x7s that you can frame for walls or shelves. We framed 8 of them for a large wall in our living room.
Beaches & Escape | Amazon
These books are by far my kids’ favorite to look through! The scenes are fascinating and the pages look great in a gold frame with a white mat! Gray Malin is incredibly talented and his photography is captivating. I am considering picking up his newer book “Italy” as well.
